This 1968 Framus Gaucho parlor came across the bench needing a full neck reset to get the geometry right again, along with a complete refret and a new saddle. Before I could get to the structural work, I had to address some impact damage on the side of the neck. It had taken a hard knock that gouged out a piece of the rosewood fretboard.

I started by cleaning out the site to get down to fresh wood, then built the area back up using a mix of rosewood dust and CA glue. Once that had plenty of time to cure, I took a file to it and sanded it back to match the original neck profile. It’s leveled and blended now so the repair is flush with the rest of the board.
